Police ID CT Pilot Killed When Plane Crashed Into Woods

A 69-year-old Connecticut man was killed earlier this week when the glider plane he was in crash-landed in the woods, authorities said.

Bradley Daar, of Clinton, was identified as the pilot of the Single Engine Ultralight Glider that crashed in the Cedar Lake Road area of Deep River on Friday afternoon, March 14, Connecticut State Police said. 

Paramedics airlifted him to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. 

Troopers alerted the Federal Aviation Administration, National Transportation Safety Board, and Connecticut Airport Authority of the crash, but State Police will investigate the crash.
