Child, 6, Hit By School Bus Suffers Serious Injuries A 6-year-old Connecticut boy was hospitalized on Thursday, Oct. 3, after he was struck by a school bus, authorities said.  The crash happened just after 4 p.m. near 24 Garden Hill Circle in Waterbury in New Haven County, police said.   Paramedics took the boy to Saint Mary’s Hospital, but he was transferred to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, Waterbury Police said.  The child is listed in stable condition, but he suffered serious injuries in the crash, police said. An initial investigation said the boy was in the roadway when the bus hit him.…

2 Critically Injured After Being Struck On Sidewalk In Westport Two people are in critical condition after a vehicle veered off the roadway in Fairfield County and hit two pedestrians on a sidewalk. The incident occurred in Westport around 6:45 p.m. on Imperial Avenue near Post Road East. According to Westport Police Deputy Chief David Farrell, police, fire, and EMS were dispatched to the scene following a 911 call. Upon arrival, first responders provided immediate medical attention to the injured pedestrians, who were transported to Norwalk Hospital for further treatment. Woman, 59, Hit, Killed Walking Near Cemetery In Norwalk Police in Fairfield County are investigating after a 59-year-old woman was struck and killed while walking near a cemetery.  The incident occurred in Norwalk around 9:20 a.m., Friday, June 21, at 81 Riverside Ave. (Riverside Cemetery). According to Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police, officers responded to the area following a 911 call of an accident with injuries in which a pedestrian was struck.
