Fairfield 24-Year-Old Admits Sexual Assault Of Minors While At School, State Attorney Says A 24-year-old Fairfield County man has admitted in court to sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl while working in the school system. Peter Wheeler, age 24, of Fairfield, pleaded guilty on Thursday, Aug. 8, in Bridgeport Superior Court, according to Joseph T. Corradino, State’s Attorney for the Judicial District of Bridgeport. In November of 2023, the State Police Computer Crimes Unit received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding possession of child pornography. Fugitive Wanted For CT Sex Assault Of Minor Nabbed In Georgia A man wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl in Connecticut was nabbed by police in Georiga on a warrant. Jamel Young, age 53, with an unknown address, was arrested on Monday, July 15, in Brunswick, Georgia. Det. Shelby Johnson of the Naugatuck Police said the department received information that Young was staying in the Brunswick area.  Detectives immediately requested assistance from the Brunswick Police Department, which located Young and arrested him without incident, Johnson said.
