New Haven County resident Juan Reyes, age unknown, of West Haven, was arrested on Friday, March 8, for the murder on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, at the Tropical Caribbean Restaurant at 703 Campbell Ave., in West Haven. Suspect Nabbed In Shooting Death Of 44-Year-Old CT Man, Police Say A Connecticut resident has been charged in the alleged shooting death of another man. The incident took place in New Haven County around 2 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 4 in the area of 701-703 Campbell Avenue in West Haven. According to the West Haven Police, officers discovered a man with multiple gun shot wounds and transported him to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. Missing CT Woman Found Dead On Shore Of River, Police Say A Connecticut woman who was reported missing was found dead a day later floating on the shore of a river. The incident took place in New Haven County on Friday, March 3, around 2:30 p.m. in West Haven. Connecticut Department of Transportation workers contacted police after spotting what appeared to be a body on the westside shore of the West River by the Kimberly Avenue Bridge, said Sgt. Large CT Beach Brawl Leads To Officers Being Assaulted, Police Say Police had to shut down a public beach after extremely large crowds of some 500 people became unruly and numerous fights broke out in which officers were allegedly attacked in Connecticut. CT Woman Killed After House Fire Breaks Out A Connecticut woman was killed during a fire at a home. The fire took place in West Haven around 2:11 p.m., Wednesday, April 6. The West Haven Police and West Haven Fire departments responded to the home at 10 Cynthia Circle after receiving a 911 call reporting a residential fire, said Sgt. CT Man Admits To Distributing Heroin, Cocaine A Connecticut man has pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine. James Lee, age 24, of New Haven, pleaded guilty on Wednesday, Sept. 29, according to Leonard C Boyle, Acting US Attorney for the District of Connecticut. According to court documents and statements made in court, on Wednesday, March 13, New Haven Police approached Lee as he was sitting in a car at a gas station.  The car had fled from police on Monday, March 8.
