Woman Struck, Killed In Busy Bridgeport Crosswalk A woman died after being struck by a car in a busy Fairfield County crosswalk. She was walking in Bridgeport westbound on Washington Avenue around 8 a.m., Monday, Jan. 5, when she was hit by a vehicle traveling southbound on Coleman Street. The woman, identified as 79-year-old Marilyn Jones, was rushed to Bridgeport Hospital, where she died from her injuries, said Capt. Lonnie Blackwell of the Bridgeport Police. Accused Juvenile Thieves Caught After Boy Robbed Of $200 Saved To Buy Phone In Bridgeport Two Bridgeport juveniles have been charged with robbery after allegedly stealing $200 from a boy attempting to buy an iPhone on Snapchat. The two juveniles were arrested in Bridgeport on Wednesday, March 22, for the incident which took place on Feb. 23, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police. The juvenile victim contacted the suspects via Snapchat regarding the posted sale of an Apple iPhone.
