CT Trio Found Guilty In $5 Million Fraud Scheme
Three former Connecticut residents were found guilty of charges related to their participation in scams that defrauded hundreds of victims across the United States of a total of more than $5 million.
Farouq Fasasi, age 27, 31-year-old Rodney Thomas Jr., and 32-year-old Ralph Pierre, all ex-New Haven residents, were convicted on Tuesday, Feb. 15, of conspiracy, fraud and money laundering offenses, according to US Attorney Leonard Boyle.

CT Man Accused Of Cyberstalking, Threatening Woman
A Connecticut man has been arrested for allegedly threatening, harassing, and intimidating a woman from the region through social media and email.
Marshall Nicholas Fain, age 31, of New Haven, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 2, and charged with one count of cyberstalking and one count of transmitting threats through interstate commerce, said the US Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts.
According to the charging documents, Fain was in a relationship with the victim from Massachusetts for approximately two years, until it ended in August 2021.

CT Man Sentenced For Dark Web Fentanyl Distribution
A Connecticut man was sentenced to more than a decade in prison for trafficking drugs on the dark web, leading to a fatal overdose, and firearm charges.
Barry Duclos, age 43, of New London County, was sentenced on Tuesday, Feb. 1, to 170 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release, according to Leonard Boyle, United States attorney for the District of Connecticut.

A Fairfield County man has been sentenced for possession with intent to distribute heroin and fentanyl.
Anthony Gilchrist, age 32, of Bridgeport, was sentenced on Wednesday, Jan. 26, to 37 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release, according to Leonard Boyle, United States attorney for the District of Connecticut.
He pleaded guilty to the charge on Saturday, Nov. 20, the US Attorney's Office reported.

A New Jersey-based political consultant admitted that he hired two hitmen, including one from Connecticut, to kill a longtime associate who had worked for him on various election campaigns, federal authorities said.

CT Man Sentenced For Distributing Crack Cocaine
A Connecticut man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to distributing powder and crack cocaine.
Frank Biggs, age 63, of Hamden, was sentenced on Tuesday, Jan. 18, to two years, three months in prison followed by three years of supervised release, according to Leonard Boyle, the United States attorney for the District of Connecticut.
Biggs pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute cocaine base on Sept. 22, Boyle reported.

Fairfield County Man Sentenced For Trafficking Narcotics
A 62-year-old Fairfield County man has been sentenced to 36 months in prison for trafficking narcotics.
Kevin Lucas, also known as "Dutch," of Bridgeport, was sentenced on Wednesday, Jan. 19, said Leonard C Boyle, US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
According to court documents and statements made in court, between May and August 2019, law enforcement made a series of controlled purchases of redistribution quantities of heroin from Lucas.
