CT Teen Undergoes Emergency Surgery In Third Shooting In 3 Days A 17-year-old Connecticut boy is recuperating after undergoing emergency surgery following a shooting on Tuesday, Sept. 3. It was the third shooting in New Haven this week, police said.  Officers received a ShotSpotter alert around 5:45 p.m. near Sherman and Edgewood Avenues, where they found the boy suffering from a bullet wound, New Haven police said.  Paramedics rushed the teen to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where doctors performed emergency surgery to save his life. CT 19-Year-Old Charged With Shooting Man On City Street A Connecticut 19-year-old was charged with assault for allegedly shooting another man on a city street last month.  Bridgeport resident Maurice Beverly was arrested on Thursday, July 11, for the Sunday, June 23 incident in which a 23-year-old New Haven resident was shot on a city street in New Haven. CT Man Sentenced For Scams That Defrauded Hundreds Of Victims Across US Out Of Millions A Connecticut man who took part in a massive scheme defrauding elderly victims out of millions of dollars is heading to federal prison. Rodney Thomas, age 31, of New Haven, was sentenced to six years behind bars Tuesday, Aug. 23 in federal court in Bridgeport after a jury convicted him of multiple charges stemming from the scheme.
