Drowning: Woman Dies After Being Found In Family Member's Pool In Shelton
A woman found unresponsive in a pool at a Fairfield County home later died. The incident took place in Shelton on Sunday, Sept. 3 around 4:15 p.m. at a home on Huntington Street. According to Det. Richard Bango of the Shelton Police, a family member arrived home and found the 68-year-old woman unresponsive in the pool. The woman, who has not been identified, was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Bridgeport where she was pronounced dead, Bango said. A Fairfield County man was charged with public indecency after allegedly masturbating on a nature trail in front of a woman and her son. Shelton resident 28-year-old Matthew McGovern was charged on Friday, Aug. 18 after police responded to the walking trails in the area of Wesley Drive, said Det. Richard Bango of the Shelton Police. Fatal Crash: Witnesses Wanted After Incident Involving 32-Year-Old Victim In Shelton
Police are searching for witnesses to a one-car crash that killed a 32-year-old Connecticut resident. The collision occurred in Fairfield County around 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 15 in Shelton at the intersection of Shelton Avenue and Pine Street. The man from Ansonia, whose name has not yet been released, was the only occupant and was later pronounced dead, said the Shelton Police. A Fairfield County man was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill Florida Gov. and GOP Presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis with a gun. Brendan Hughes, age 22, of Shelton, was arrested on Friday, July 14, said Lt. Robert Kozlowsky of the Shelton Police. Hughes was charged with threatening and held on a $1,000 bond, Kozlowsky said.
