A Connecticut couple has been accused of orchestrating a multi-state theft operation targeting Lululemon stores, resulting in approximately $1 million in stolen merchandise.
Jadion Anthony Richards, age 44, and Akwele Nickeisha Lawes-Richards, age 45, both from Danbury, were charged in in Minnesota on Friday, Nov. 22, at Ramsey County District Court with organized retail theft, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune.

Smile, You're On Body Camera: TJ Maxx To Equip Employees To Fight Shoplifting
To fight the recent rise in shoplifting and retail theft, shoppers could see store security employees wearing body-worn cameras to help catch thieves red-handed.
TJX, the parent company of TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Serria, HomeSense, and HomeGoods, said will begin equipping some employees with body-worn cameras similar to those worn by police, the Boston Globe reported. The company started testing the initiative last year.
The company operates nearly 3,400 stores nationwide.

Shampoo Swipers Snag $4,500 From Darien CVS, Police Say
A duo took thousands of dollars worth of hair care from a CVS store in Fairfield County, authorities announced.
The Fairfield County incident occurred in Darien on Thursday, March 7.
At about 8:15 a.m., an employee at the CVS located at 964 Post Road went to their manager, informing him that the shampoo aisle was “looking low,” according to Darien Police.
The manager reviewed a store camera, which captured a man and a woman grabbing hair products off the shelves and stuffing them into a tote bag.
A total of $4,590 was taken from the CVS, police said.

Target To Close Stores In 4 States, Including NY, Citing Theft, Organized Retail Crime
Citing incidents involving violence and theft, Target announced it is closing nine stores in four states, including one in New York.
The New York store is in Manhattan, at 517 E 117th St.
Three other stores are in California, in the San Francisco/Oakland market, and three in Oregon, in Portland.
The other two stores are in Seattle, Washington.

A woman who allegedly stole more than $20,000 in merchandise from a Saks Fifth Avenue in Fairfield County in 2020 as part of a retail theft ring is behind bars.
The grab-and-run theft took place in Greenwich on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, at the Saks Fifth Avenue at 205 Greenwich Ave.
The theft included five suspects including Jessica Lane, age 34, of Newark, New Jersey, who was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Rikers Island in New York, by Greenwich Police on an extraditable warrant, said Lt. Patrick Smyth, of the Greenwich Police.
