Fairfield County Man Charged After Standoff With Police While Firing Shots From Window
A Fairfield County man was arrested following a standoff with police after he allegedly fired numerous shots from the third-floor window of a multi-family home. The incident began in Bridgeport in the 100 block of Orange Street around 4:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 24. Bridgeport Police responded to a home after receiving calls reporting shots being fired on Orange Street, Capt. Kevin Gilleran said, of the Bridgeport Police. One is in custody after barricading himself inside the garage of a Connecticut home after being involved in a domestic incident, police said. School In CT Temporarily Locked Down During Police Negotiation
A school in Connecticut was temporarily placed in lockdown while police negotiated with a barricaded person. In New Haven County, the Momauguin Elementary School was locked down as a precaution and police advised the public to stay away from Stevens Street between Austin Avenue and Soundview Avenue on Tuesday, Jan. 25. It is unclear why officers were negotiating with the barricaded person, including the South Central Regional SWAT team, which was activated, according to police. One In Custody After Incident Puts Fairfield County Neighborhood On Lockdown
Residents in one Fairfield County town were warned to stay in their homes during an armed standoff with a suspect following a domestic dispute. The incident took place around 8 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16 in Trumbull. That's when officers were called to a home in the Tashua Road area for a domestic disturbance, said Captain Keith Golding of the Trumbull Police.
