Investigation Underway Into Police-Involved Shooting Of Man Who Stole Bristol Cop Car The state Office of Inspector General is investigating an officer-involved shooting during the theft of a police cruiser following an armed carjacking that ended with the vehicle crashing into a popular restaurant. The incident took place in Bristol on Thursday, Jan. 12 following the carjacking of a Toyota at knifepoint in Farmington. The suspect in the Farmington carjacking had earlier carjacked another car in Hartford. Stolen Police Cruiser Drives Into Popular Bristol Restaurant A stolen police cruiser drove into a popular Bristol restaurant during a pursuit by officers. The incident took place in Hartford County around 12:20 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12 at Palma's Diner located at 100 Stafford Ave., in Bristol. The cruiser was stolen while Bristol officers were investigating a carjacking in Farmington earlier Thursday, said Bristol Deputy Chief Matthew Moskowitz.
