CT Woman, 37, Found Dead Floating In Quinnipiac River Police in Connecticut are investigating after a 37-year-old woman's body was found dead floating in the water of the Quinnipiac River. New Haven Police Officer Christian Bruckhart said the incident occurred in New Haven around 7:50 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, near Brewery Square. Bruckhart said the New Haven Fire Department responded with water rescue, and the body was located near James Street and River Streets along the embankment. A Connecticut school custodian is being credited with helping to apprehend a man with a gun outside of an elementary school. The incident took place outside of the Lincoln Bassett Community School at 130 Bassett St, New Haven on Wednesday, Nov. 8 in the morning.
