Man Charged For CT Crash That Killed Wife, Passenger A man was arrested in connection with a double-fatal crash last summer that killed his wife and another passenger. Juan Fernandez, age 38, of Union City, New Jersey, surrendered to police on Wednesday, Aug. 17, and was charged with two counts of negligent homicide, among other charges in connection with the crash on Friday, Aug. 13, 2021, in Middlesex County, on Route 15 in Woodbridge. Driver Dies In Fiery Crash Near Connecticut Intersection A driver was killed in a fiery crash near a Connecticut intersection. It happened in Middlesex County at 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, according to Connecticut State Police. A vehicle was southbound in the Town of Middlefield on Miller Road near the intersection with Main Street when, for unknown reasons, it left the roadway and struck a tree, police said. Woman Dies In Head-On CT Crash A 79-year-old woman was killed in a head-on crash in Connecticut. The crash happened in Middlesex County at about 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26 on Route 81 in Killingworth, according to Connecticut State Police.  A 2009 Toyota Yaris was southbound on Route 81 when it crossed over the center median and swerved into the northbound lane, police said.
