A Connecticut man is accused of drunkenly crashing into a police cruiser and sending the officer to the hospital Saturday night, Aug. 24 in Fairfield County, authorities said. $100K Lottery Ticket Sold In Norwalk
A lucky lotto player managed to match all five numbers on a Cash5 ticket to win a cool $100,000, Lottery officials said the winning ticket was sold in Norwalk for the Friday, June 7 game at the Norwalk Smoke Shop at 68 Main St. The winning numbers were 4-16-18-22-33. The ticket was the 23rd Cash5 jackpot in the state so far this year. No word yet on who the lucky winner is. Cash5 drawings are held nightly at 11 p.m.

Drug Dealer From Stamford Busted In Norwalk Selling Cocaine Laced With Fentanyl, Police Say
A Fairfield County man was busted allegedly selling cocaine laced with fentanyl to undercover agents over several months. Joshua Powell, age 30, of Stamford, was charged by Norwalk Police on Thursday, Aug. 10. During May 2023, the Special Services Division began receiving information that Powell was selling large quantities of powder and crack cocaine that contained fentanyl within the City of Norwalk, said Norwalk Police Deputy Chief Terrence Blake. Police are asking for help from the public in solving a cold case involving a woman who was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend in Norwalk and never seen again. The decades-old incident happened during the early morning of Feb. 1, 1985, around 12:15 a.m., when April Grisanti left Anthony's Bar in Norwalk on Main Street and was forced into a vehicle by her ex-boyfriend who then drove away, Norwalk Police said in an announcement on Monday, Jan. 30.
