Bust Made In Fatal Sidewalk Stabbing In CT Months After Attack Connecticut police say they arrested a 36-year-old man in a two-month-old fatal stabbing that left a 26-year-old dead in New Haven, authorities said.  Thomas Norfleet, age 36, of New Haven, is accused of fatally stabbing Shamar Gibson during an argument on a sidewalk on July 6, New Haven police said in a press conference on Thursday, Sept. 5.  Norfleet and Gibson got into an argument over Norfleet's niece around 2 p.m. on Orchard Street. $3K Reward: Puppy Found Dead In Milk Crate In CT Police and animal control officials are investigating and offering a reward after a puppy was found shot dead in a milk crate in Connecticut. The puppy was discovered in New Haven County around 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, in the hamlet of Fair Haven, said Capt. Rose Dell, of the New Haven Police. Dell said two officers on patrol found the puppy in the crate on Poplar Street. An investigation was started with the help of Animal Control officers who discovered the puppy had been shot. 'Most Loving Person': Friends Shocked, Angry Over Death Of Woman Killed In CT Crash Friends and family of a 20-year-old Massachusetts woman who died in a hit-and-run crash in Connecticut were stunned and horrified as news of the weekend wreck spread through social media. But there was a common thread amongst most of the posts: they want justice.  Hampden County resident Yaseri Cortes, of Springfield, was killed just before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, in Enfield. Connecticut State Police said she was standing in the center southbound lane of I-91 when she was hit.
