$36K Worth Of Golf Carts Stolen From CT Club: Suspects At Large, Police Say
Authorities are asking for help from the public in finding four suspects who stole three golf carts worth $12,000 each from a golf club in Hartford County. The theft happened on Friday, June 19 just after 12:40 p.m., when Bristol Police responded to a burglar alarm at Chippanee Golf Club located at 6 Marsh Rd. and found that the store building housing carts had been broken into. A Fairfield County man already well-known to authorities faces charges after allegedly threatening his neighbor and throwing her mail out of her mailbox, police said. The man's arrest stemmed from a complaint from his neighbor on Monday, March 20, when a Westport woman complained to officers that 57-year-old Westport resident James Doyle was stealing her mail, according to Westport Police. A man was charged with breach of peace for allegedly attempting to lure his neighbor's cat into his home in Fairfield County. James Dolyle, age 56, of Westport, was charged on Friday, Jan. 20, following an investigation by Westport Police that he had allegedly stolen the neighbor's cat.
