Fairfield County Man Busted For Renovating Home Without Contractor's License, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly renovating an area home without a contractor's license, or getting the permits or inspections. John Tate, age 65, of Weston, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 26, by Wilton Police for performing the renovations on a Wilton home. His arrest is the result of an investigation related to extensive remodeling work on the victim's residence, Wilton Police said.
