Man Nabbed After Firing Shots At Cumberland Farms In Fairfield County, Police Say A man was busted for allegedly firing shots at a convenience store in Fairfield County. The incident occurred in Shelton around 10:15 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 28, at the Cumberland Farms on River Road. When Shelton Police arrived they discovered a broken window and recovered a spent shell casing in the parking lot, said Detective Christopher Nugent of the Shelton Police. CT Convicted Felon Busted With Illegal Guns, Ammunition, Police Say A Connecticut convicted felon is being held on a $2.5 million bond following a warrant raid on his apartment in which guns and ammunition were allegedly found. New Haven County resident Hipolito Lopez, age 49, of Waterbury, was charged on Wednesday, Dec. 6, said Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police. During the raid of Lopez's apartment, officers recovered a ghost gun assault rifle, two handguns, four high-capacity magazines, and various kinds of ammunition, Bessette said.
