11 Years Later, Police Still Searching For Leads In Fairfield County Double Homicide
Police in Connecticut are pleading with the public to come forward with information regarding the cold case double murder of two people that reaches its 11th anniversary next month.
On Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, 22-year-old Rickita Smalls and 27-year-old Iroquois Alston, both of Norwalk, were shot and killed while sitting in a parked car on Avenue B, said the Norwalk Police.
Since that time investigators have worked hard to bring those responsible to justice including offering a $50,000 reward.

A 7-year-old Fairfield County girl who died in a fast-moving house fire has been identified by officials.
Summer Fawcett, of Norwalk, was killed around 5 a.m., Saturday, May 14 at 7 Nelson Ave., said the Norwalk Fire Department.

Acrobat Seriously Injured After Falling 25-30 Feet At Fairfield County Festival
An acrobat who fell about 30 feet from a performance apparatus at a Fairfield County festival is expected to recover.
The incident took place around 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 12, at the Norwalk Oyster Festival Saturday when one of the performers, Walter Murcia, with the Pirates Of the Colombian Caribbean acrobatic show fell about 25 to 30 feet from an apparatus.
According to Norwalk Police Sgt. Sofia Gulino, Murcia sustained serious injuries after hitting the ground.
