Video: Missing Dog That Turned Herself In To CT Police Reunited With Owner A missing dog has been reunited with its owner after turning itself in to police on Tuesday, Feb. 4, after a week on the run.  Comet, the golden retriever, showed up at the Waterford Police Department Tuesday morning with a few injuries after her brief week on the run. Police officers and employees lavished it with attention until the owners showed up to collect their wayward best friend.  Welcome home, girl.  Posted by Waterford-East Lyme Animal Control on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 Police didn't say how serious her injuries were.

Can You Guess? New Study Reveals CT's Favored Dog Breed Thanks to a new study, Connecticut's preferred breed of four-legged friends has been revealed.  According to a study by PetLab, the Nutmeg State's favored and most searched-for breed of dog is the Golden Retriever.  To determine this, PetLab's pet nutrition experts used Google's Keyword Planner to look at more than 200 breeds recognized by the American Kennel Club alongside search terms such as "buy" and "adopt." This allowed them to produce a ranking for each US state's most searched-for breed over the last 12 months.  Connecticut is certainly not alone in this prefere…
