Griswold Crash Leaves Massachusetts Trucker Dead A 42-year-old Middlesex County, Massachusetts, man died after crashing his truck down an embankment along I-395 in Connecticut. Tim Murray, of Ashby, crashed his Freightliner truck in Griswold, New London County between Exit 24 and 28 around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 Construction had closed the southbound right-hand lane of the highway. As Murray merged into the left lane, his 2019 Freightliner hit a guardrail. Murray corrected the truck but not before striking another section of the guardrail.  The truck tumbled down an embankment. Authorities pronounced Murray dead at the scene.…

CT Driver Dies After Crashing Into Semi In 1-95 Rest Area A 63-year-old man died after crashing a car into a semi-truck at a rest area in Connecticut. The crash happened in New Haven County in the Milford Rest Area on I-95 southbound near Exit 41 at about 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, Connecticut State Police reported. Police said a 2010 Nissan Altima 2.5 S struck the rear of a 2016 Freightliner Tractor that was stopped in the fire lane of the rest area. Authorities said it is not known why the Nissan struck the Freightliner.  The driver of the Nissan, identified as Brian Lambert, of West Haven, was killed in the crash, authorities said.&n…

CT Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By Box Truck A Connecticut pedestrian was killed after being hit by a Freightliner box truck. The man 68-year-old man was killed in New Haven County around 9:35 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 26 at the intersection of East Main Street at North Elm Street in Waterbury. According to Lieutenant Ryan Bessette, of the Waterbury Police, when officers responded to the scene they found the victim and transported him to St. Mary's Hospital where he died from his injuries.
