Man Extradited From Hawaii For CT Homicide
More than 11 years after the crime, a suspect is facing charges for his involvement in the 2011 murder of a Connecticut man.
Andrew Spino, age 34, was extradited from Hawaii, where he was in jail on unrelated charges, by US Marshals to New Haven County in connection with the March 2011 murder of Isaia Hernandez in Ansonia.
The investigation into the homicide of Hernandez began on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at 6:10 p.m., when the Ansonia Police Department received a complaint of a person shot in front of the Xtra Mart on Wakelee Avenue, said Lt. Patrick Lynch of the Ansonia Police.

Fairfield County Man Wanted For Stabbing Death Extradited, Police Say
A 32-year-old Fairfield County man facing a murder charge for the 2021 stabbing death of a man found dead in a car was extradited some four months after his arrest.
Donald Copeland, age 32, of Bridgeport, was transported to Stamford on Monday, June 27, to face charges in the stabbing death of a Norwalk man.
Copeland was initially arrested in Poughkeepsie, New York, by the US Marshall during a raid on a home on Friday, Feb. 18, said Lt. Thomas Scanlon, of the Stamford Police.

Fairfield County Man Arrested For 2009 Sexual Assault Of A Child, Police Say
A Fairfield County man has been brought back to the area from Florida for a sexual assault that took place in 2009.
Jeffrey Jubin, age 59, of Norwalk, was arrested on a warrant on Thursday, Feb. 10, for sexual assault.
According to Sgt. Sofia Gulino, of the Norwalk Police Department, in May 2009, the Norwalk Police Department was contacted by the Collier County Florida Sheriff’s Office regarding an extraditable arrest warrant for Jubin, who was believed to be living in Norwalk.

Former Fairfield County Resident Sentenced For Fraud, Identity Theft Offenses
A former Fairfield County resident has been sentenced to 65 months in prison for fraud and identity theft offenses related to a scheme leasing and purchasing vehicles and motorcycles.
Domingo St. Hilaire Rosario, age 57, formerly of Danbury, was sentenced on Wednesday, Oct. 20 in Hartford, said Leonard C Boyle, Acting US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
