CT 9th-Grader Killed In Head-On Crash
A Connecticut ninth-grade student was killed after crashing his dirt bike into another vehicle. The incident occurred in Hartford County around 5:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8, in Suffield in the area of Cooper Hill Road at Woods Hollow Road. According to Capt. Robert Palmer of the Suffield Police, an initial investigation found that Carter Jones, age unknown, of Suffield, was traveling south on Copper Hill Road on a dirt bike approaching Woods Hollow Road. Fatal Crash: 23-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Stamford
One person was killed in an overnight crash in Fairfield County. It happened just before 11:10 p.m. Friday, June 7, in Stamford at 100 Bridge St. in Scalzi Park, An initial investigation revealed that Oscar Chinchilla-Najarro, a 23-year-old Stamford resident, was operating a 2001 Kawasaki dirt bike in the park. While traveling around the outer roadway of the park, Chinchilla-Najarro lost control of the motorcycle, mounted the curb, and crashed along the guardrail on the east side of the park, according to Sgt. Teen Seriously Injured Doing 'Wheelie' On Dirt Bike On CT Roadway
A 17-year-old Connecticut teen was seriously injured while allegedly doing a "wheelie" on a dirt bike. The incident took place in New Haven County around 4:45 p.m., Monday, May 22, near East Broadway and Shea Avenue in Milford. An initial investigation revealed that a green Kawasaki dirt bike was traveling west on East Broadway near Shea Avenue when the operator lost control and fell from the dirt bike while he was doing a "wheelie," police said.
