Chick-fil-A is expanding its footprint in Connecticut with a new restaurant that will open this week in New Haven County. The first Chick-fil-A in West Haven will open at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 487 Saw Mill Road. Jose Marquez, a Connecticut native with a background in business and a 13-year tenure at Chick-fil-A, will lead the West Haven location as its owner-operator, the company said. Popular Chick-fil-A Sauce Recalled
Fast-food chain Chick-fil-A announced it is recalling one of its most popular dipping sauce cups and advising customers to toss them in the trash due to the possible presence of undeclared allergens. According to a notification posted on the eatery's website, anyone who took home Polynesian Sauce cups between Wednesday, Feb. 14 and Tuesday, Feb. 27 should discard them because they may, in fact, contain a different product that contains wheat and soy. When it comes to satisfying those hunger pangs, it turns out nothing does it for Zoomers quite like the delectably irresistible taste of America’s favorite chicken shack. A new survey by investment firm Piper Sandler found that Generation Z’s favorite restaurant is Chick-fil-A. Of those polled, 18 percent picked the Atlanta-based chicken chain as their favorite place to eat, followed by Starbucks (17 percent) and Chipotle (13 percent). Following a lengthy debate that lasted months, plans for a new Chick-fil-A restaurant in Fairfield County has been turned down. Citing traffic concerns, the Fairfield Town Plan and Zoning Commission unanimously denied a proposal for a new location at 750 Post Road, the land formerly occupied by Joe's American Bar & Grill and Colonial Unisex Hair Cutters.
