Woman Injured After Pickup Truck Hits Deer, Sends It Flying Into Her SUV In Easton: Police
A woman was hospitalized in serious condition after a pickup truck struck a deer on a Fairfield County road and sent it flying into her vehicle, police said. The incident happened on Monday, Nov. 20 around 9 a.m. in Easton on Route 59 in the area of Sherwood Drive, according to Easton Police Chief Richard Doyle. Soon after the collision, first responders arrived at the scene and found that a 2019 Ford pickup truck had struck a deer. A 69-year-old volunteer Connecticut firefighter was killed when he was struck while crossing a dark roadway following a Halloween event. The incident took place in New London County at 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 29 on Route 354, also known as Old Colchester Road, in the town of Salem. Authorities are investigating the cause of a Connecticut crash that left a 35-year-old woman dead and another person seriously injured. Connecticut State Police are searching for witnesses after a fatal two-vehicle crash on I-95 in Greenwich. Colin D.
