Fractured, Injured Fingers Prompt Recall Of 225K+ Camping Cots
More than 200,000 camping cots are being recalled after an issue with the backrest caused serious finger injuries, including fractures. Coleman issued the recall for about 228,760 Converta camping cots and camping suspension stretchers, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, June 26. A bobcat attacked an adult camper at a Connecticut state park. The attack took place during the early morning hours of Friday, June 30 in New London County at Selden Neck Island in Selden Neck State Park in Lyme. A 12-year-old Boy Scout is on the mend after an encounter with a black bear left him with minor injuries, ABC7 reports. Henry Ayers told the outlet he was with his troop from Cooperstown camping at Harriman State Park, located in both Rockland and Orange counties, Sunday, May 1, when he awoke to a sharp pain in his leg. Days before Gabby Petito’s family realized the young woman was lying dead among the rocks in Wyoming, her boyfriend and fellow Long Island native Brian Laundrie, was camping with his family.
