Man Nabbed For Stealing Cooking Oil From Darien Business, Cops Say
A man wanted for several years for allegedly stealing used cooking oil from behind a business was nabbed by police in Fairfield County. Pedrito Disla, age 45, of the Bronx, was arrested by Darien Police on Saturday, Feb. 25 on an active warrant for the incident which took place in Oct. 2018. During the incident, officers responded to 1032 Post Road on a report of a man in a white van illegally siphoning used cooking oil from the drums located behind the business, said Sgt. A beloved educator from Northern Westchester who worked in Connecticut known for her dedication to her family has died. Edna Rose Ventarola of Ossining died on Monday, Nov. 14 at the age of 68, according to her obituary. Ventarola was born in 1954 and raised in the Bronx, graduating from Lehman College, her obituary said. A man was nabbed with a large stash of fentanyl, as well as other drugs, after police received word he was dealing in the area. Anthony Mojica, age 34, of the Bronx, was arrested in Fairfield County around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25 in Stamford on the 200 block of Bedford Street. Police have accused a man for allegedly stealing a box of blank checks in Fairfield County and writing a check to himself for more than $24,000.
