Nearly 50K Hyundai Vehicles Recalled Nationwide For Potentially Faulty Airbags Tens of thousands of Hyundai SUVs are being recalled across the country in response to a situation that may affect their airbags' functionality. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced this week that 40,144 Hyundai Santa Fe ICE vehicles and 9,575 Hyundai Santa Fe HEV vehicles are subject to a nationwide recall due to the faulty airbags. All of the vehicles were produced in 2024. 33-Year-Old ID'd As Victim Of Multi-Vehicle CT Crash A 33-year-old Connecticut man was killed in a three-vehicle crash on I-91. The collision occurred in Hartford County around 11:20 p.m., Monday, June 10, in the northbound lane south of Exit 38 in Windsor. According to Connecticut State Police, Jonathan Scott Schlagel, of Enfield, was driving a 2000 Triumph Sprint RS when he hit the rear of a 1999 Dodge Ram 3500. Schlagel was ejected from the motorcycle, state police said. He was then struck by a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV that was behind the pickup truck and the motorcycle. Hit-Run Crash: Young German Shepherd Struck, Killed In CT Police in Connecticut are asking the public for help locating a Ford pickup truck that allegedly struck and killed a young German Shepherd. The crash occurred in New Haven County around 7:40 a.m. on Sunday, June 2, near 1650 Hartford Turnpike in North Haven.
