Threat Forces School To Postpone Football Game, Limit Number Of Fans
A Connecticut high school in New London County postponed its football game after administrators learned of a threat of violence being made online, authorities said. Fitch High School moved its game against Norwich Free Academy from Thursday, Oct. 17, to Friday, Oct. 18, after students at Fitch told the school's resource officer about the threat posted to social media, Groton Police said. A 13-year-old Connecticut girl was arrested Thursday morning, Sept. 19, after police say they traced a threat made against a school to her. It's just another example of an alarming trend of people — often students — making threats of violence online toward local schools.
