7 Busted In CT Prostitution Sting As Police Pose As Escorts
Seven men were arrested after a targeted prostitution sting in Fairfield, police said.
Undercover police posed as an escort as part of a sting operation on March 13. When the men arrived in Fairfield for the arranged meet-up, they were arrested as part of the Fairfield Police Department's Neighborhood Enforcement Team efforts.

2 CT Residents Caught With Over 300 Grams Of Cocaine On I-90, Police Say
Two Connecticut residents are facing felony charges after more than 300 grams of cocaine were found during a traffic stop on Interstate 90 in the Hudson Valley, police said.
The stop happened on Wednesday, March 18, at around 5:45 p.m. on I-90 westbound in Columbia County, New York State Police said on Thursday, March 19.
There, troopers said they pulled over a vehicle for violations of vehicle and traffic laws. The driver was identified as Harry Batchelor Jr., 29, of Bridgeport, while the front-seat passenger was identified as Lymarie T. Navedo, 24, of East Hartford.

Police say they have arrested a woman in connection with a Waterbury shooting over the weekend, one of two that rocked the city.
Jessica Towels, 39, of Meriden, faces multiple felonies in connection with the Nov. 29 shooting, Waterbury police said.
Police were in the area when they heard gunshots around 1:45 a.m. on Grand Street, but when they arrived, they couldn’t find the victim. Later that morning, a 39-year-old man checked himself into an area hospital with gunshot wounds to his arm and abdomen, Waterbury police said.

Man Chased Driver Through CT Streets Before Trying To Break Into Car After Crash: Police
A Connecticut man is accused of chasing another driver, causing the driver to crash into a pile of rocks, and then trying to get into the victim’s vehicle, authorities said.
Michael Bonelli, 37, of East Lyme, is facing several charges following the alleged chase on Tuesday, authorities said.
Witnesses called East Lyme police around 8:30 a.m. to report two vehicles speeding through local roads. The victim’s car smashed through a fence and swerved around multiple pedestrians before slamming into rocks on Beach Avenue, where it became disabled, authorities said.

A late-night traffic stop in Connecticut led to the arrest of a local man after police found a stolen firearm, ammunition, and marijuana packaged for sale in his vehicle, police said.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, Bristol officers were conducting motor vehicle enforcement on Pine Street when police stopped Shawn Rodriguez, of Bristol, for a headlight violation, Lt. Eric Hanson said. During the stop, officers noticed an improperly stored firearm inside Rodriguez’s vehicle. The firearm was later determined to be stolen.

Man Charged With Drug Sales After Months-Long Danbury Investigation
A Fairfield County man was charged with alleged illegal drug sales after complaints from residents led to a months-long investigation.
Arpit Soni, age 28, of Danbury, was arrested on Thursday, June 6, following an investigation by the Danbury Police, Brookfield Police, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
According to Erin Henry of the Danbury Police, detectives had received complaints from concerned citizens about illegal drug sales by Soni, who was the target of the investigation.
