A Connecticut estate once home to both singer-songwriter Paul Simon and actor Richard Gere has sold for tens of millions of dollars for the second time in two years. The 32-acre Fairfield County property, located at 82 Brookwood Ln. in New Canaan, sold on Thursday, Oct. 10 for $10.75 million, according to the town's property records. If you think you are seeing things when four historic homes roll by you on a Connecticut roadway, don't worry. They are being moved to make room for a new 9-story parking garage. The move will occur in Hartford on Thursday, Aug. 29, causing traffic to be a mess in certain parts of town. Missing Stamford Man Found Dead In Wooded Area In New Canaan
A missing Fairfield County man was found dead in a wooded area during a search by police. The incident occurred in New Canaan shortly after 12 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9. According to Lt. Marc DeFelice of the New Canaan Police, during the late evening hours of Monday, July 08, the New Canaan Police Department began assisting the Stamford Police Department in a missing persons investigation.
