Fairfield County Congressman Himes Among Latest Dems To Call On Biden To Quit Race Connecticut Congressman Jim Himes (D--4th District) is the latest sitting representative to call upon President Joe Biden to call it quits on his presidential campaign. Himes, whose district covers 17 towns and cities in most of Fairfield County and some of New Haven County, is also the first member of the state's congressional delegation to do so. Beloved Stratford Police Officer, 56, Dies Unexpectedly Police, family, and friends are mourning the loss of a longtime and much beloved Fairfield County police officer who died unexpectedly.  Stratford Officer Ken Kubel, age 56, died earlier this week. He served with the Bridgeport Police Department for 25 years from 1990 to 2015, retiring with the rank of sergeant, said Capt. Robert Burroughs of the Stratford Police.  Kubel then continued on in his police career by serving another nine years as a Patrol Officer with the Stratford Police Department from 2015 to 2024.
