Thousands of portable vaporizers are being recalled after reports of batteries overheating, smoking, and ejecting material.
Arizer Tech issued the recall for about 5,460 of its Solo II vapes, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, Sept. 18. Around 2,820 vapes were sold in Canada.
The internal lithium-ion battery can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards. Arizer has received nine reports of overheating, producing smoke, or ejecting material.

Anker Innovations is recalling about 481,000 power banks, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, Sept. 18. The lithium-ion batteries inside the devices can overheat, posing fire and burn hazards.
According to the CPSC, Anker has received 33 reports of fire and explosion incidents. Four people suffered minor burns, and one incident caused "significant property damage."

The recall affects about 24,000 ESR HaloLock power banks sold in the US, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, Aug. 14. About 9,900 portable chargers were sold in Canada.

Tens of thousands of pairs of heated socks are being recalled after nearly a dozen reports of burns and blisters.
Fieldsheer Apparel Technologies issued the recall for about 45,000 heated socks, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, Aug. 7. The socks can cause pain and injuries when worn during activities that generate a combination of heat, friction, moisture, and pressure.

More than a million portable phone chargers are being recalled after dozens of reports involving battery fires, burn injuries, and thousands in property damage.
Anker issued the recall for about 1,158,000 Anker PowerCore 10000 power banks, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, June 12. The issue stems from the lithium-ion batteries inside the chargers, which can overheat and catch fire.
Anker has received 19 reports of fires and explosions. Two people suffered minor burns, and there were 11 cases of property damage worth more than $60,700, the CPSC said.
