A rising voice in Philadelphia’s hip-hop scene was silenced in a deadly shooting on Mother’s Day, police announced on Monday, May 12.
Qidere Johnson, 30, better known as the socially conscious rapper LGP Qua, was shot in the chest during a robbery attempt near M Street and East Luzerne Street in Juniata Park at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, authorities said.
