The family of a 66-year-old Connecticut man who was left in a coma after a car crashed into him and sped off is asking for the public's help to find out who was behind the wheel. Rene Beaudette, of Norwich in New London County, was hit around 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 655 East Main St. in Norwich, authorities said. Mass. Hammer Murderer Gets Life In Prison For Killing Sleeping Wife: DA
A Massachusetts man who beat his estranged wife to death with a hammer as she slept will spend at least the next 25 years in prison, authorities said. Michael A. Cook Sr., of North Adams in Berkshire Country, was convicted of second-degree murder last week and was sentenced to life in prison on Thursday, Oct. 10, the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office said.
