In a podcast interview with Bleacher Report, "Gronk" talked about his friendship with Austin Capobianco, the New Haven County man who gained infamy after he yanked the ball from Mookie Betts' glove during Game 4 on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Red Sox Star Calls Heckler Gay Slur Over Tennis Racket Joke
It was already a bad night for Jarren Duran. As Duran approached the box, a fan screamed that Duran needed a tennis racket to get a hit. The All-Star squawked back, "Shut up, you "f**king f**got." It's unclear if the umpire heard it, but the slur was audible on the NECN game microphones. NESN mics picked up Red Sox outfie…

Mass. Native Sets Yankees Rookie Home Run Record
The Yankees are among the greatest franchises in sports history, but none of the team's Hall of Famers did what Massachusetts native Ben Rice was able to pull off. The Cohasset native hit three home runs in the Yankees' 14-4 shellacking of the Boston Red Sox on Saturday, July 6 in the Bronx. It was the most times a rookie has ever gone yard in a single game for the Yanks. “It’s definitely a day I’ll never forget,” Rice told MLB.com. “I’m just pumped that it was a big-time win for us, a good bounce-back win, and over my hometown team. So it’s pretty cool.” The Yankees' social med…
