In a series of posts on X, the best-selling author apologized for falsely claiming that conservative influencer Charlie Kirk had advocated “stoning gays to death,” acknowledging he failed to fact-check before sharing.
On Friday, Sept. 12, King wrote: “I was wrong, and I apologize. I have deleted the post.”

Teen Sentenced In Fatal Stabbing Of 15-Year-Old Outside CT Elementary School: State
A 17-year-old Connecticut boy will spend three years behind bars for fatally stabbing another teen during a fight outside an East Haven elementary school, state officials announced.
Jeter Simmons, who pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the first degree, was sentenced to eight years in prison, suspended after three years, on Monday, Jan. 15, the New Haven Judicial District State’s Attorney’s Office said. He will also serve three years of probation after his release.
