Jessica Chapman who teaches at Norwich Free Academy in New London County was named a Milken Educator Award recipient, the organization announced. Tony Todd, the actor best known for his role in the "Candyman" films, died last week at his Los Angeles Home after a lengthy illness, his family said. He was 69. Two Connecticut women were arrested this week after police seized more than 100 animals at their home in varying states of care and eight dead animals in their freezer, authorities said. Head coach Dan Hurley of the two-time national champion University of Connecticut men's basketball team has hit the jackpot by signing a new $50 million, six-year contract with the program.
