Multi-Vehicle I-95 Crash Snarls Traffic Traffic on a stretch of I-95 is at a standstill after a serious multi-vehicle crash near the border of Westchester and Fairfield counties. The crash, involving at least four vehicles, happened late Saturday afternoon, Sept. 18 on the southbound side in Greenwich. There is stopped traffic at the scene and delays stretching back for several miles at 5:30 p.m.

Busy Roadway Closed In Fairfield County Due To Shooting, Police Say A busy roadway in Fairfield County is closed in two sections due to a shooting that left one person with life-threatening injuries. As of 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 15, north Route 8 is closed in Bridgeport and Trumbull, said the Connecticut State Police. The northbound lanes between exits 4 and 5 in Bridgeport and exits 5 and 8 in Trumbull are expected to remain closed for a sustainable amount of time. Serious Crash Causes I-84 Closure A busy stretch of I-84 is closed during the height of the morning commute after a serious crash in Connecticut. The closure is in both directions after the crash involving a rolled-over tractor-trailer happened on the eastbound side just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 30 in Northern Fairfield County near Exit 13. Connecticut State Police said the crash led to a large fuel spill.  Eastbound traffic is being detoured to local streets at Exit 11. Motorists are being advised to use alternate routes if possible.
