CT Man Charged In Murder Of 24-Year-Old Found Shot In Head, Police Say
Police have arrested a Connecticut man in connection with the alleged murder of an area man.
Waterbury Police arrested New Haven County man Kyshone Jackson, age 45, of Waterbury on Monday, July 12, for the Saturday, July 10 murder of Davante Echols.
Echols, 24, of Waterbury, was found shot in the head in the area of 19 Bronson Street, said Waterbury PD Sgt. Robert Davis.
He died shortly after at a local hospital.
Investigations led detectives to find that Jackson was involved in the incident.

Police have identified a Connecticut man who was found shot in the head on a city street following an argument between a group of people.
Davante Echols, age 24, was just before 8 p.m., Saturday, July 10 in the area of 19 Bronson St., in Waterbury, in New Haven County, said Sgt. Robert Davis.
Echols, of Waterbury, sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to an area hospital for treatment, but died a short time later.

CT Man Busted With 145 Vials Of Crack, Other Drugs After Spotted Making Deal, Police Say
A Connecticut man was allegedly busted with 145 vials of crack cocaine, heroin, and other drugs after police spotted him making a deal on a city street.
The bust took place around 3:45 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, when Waterbury Police Department’s Gang Task Force and Street Crimes Unit saw area resident Yamil Carreras, age 42, conducting drug deals in the area of Baldwin Street, said Sgt. Robert Davis.
After officers stopped Carreras, a search uncovered:
145 vials of crack cocaine (55.6 grams);
24 bags of cocaine (2.8 grams);
54 bags of heroin;

Suspect Nabbed After Man Found Shot, Killed Near Intersection In CT
A 23-year-old Connecticut man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of another man on a street corner.
The homicide of 23-year-old Gregory Rafael Santos-Frias of Waterbury was discovered around 11:39 p.m., Saturday, May 1, when the Waterbury Police Department responded to the area of East Main Street at Wall Street to investigate a shooting, said Sgt. Robert Davis
Santos-Frias died at the scene, Davis said.
