Alleged Stalker: Connecticut Man Arrested After Multiple Highway Incidents, Police Say
A Connecticut man has been charged after he allegedly repeatedly stalked a woman for months while she drove to and from work, police announced.
New Haven County resident Nicholas Perugini III, age 53, of Waterbury, was arrested on Thursday, June 8 at around 1 a.m. for his alleged role in the stalking of a woman that spanned several months, according to Connecticut State Police.
On Wednesday, May 10 at approximately 11:40 p.m., police were first notified of the man’s behavior.

State police have nabbed a juvenile who they believe was part of a "street takeover" event in Connection.
The juvenile, who is under the age of 18, was arrested on Tuesday, June 6 in connection with a Tolland County street racing incident, or "street takeover," that happened in the town of Tolland on Sunday, May 21.
On the night of the incident, a group of racers and spectators gathered to race cars, perform burnouts, set off fireworks, and more, according to officials.

An additional three people have been arrested in connection to racing incidents dubbed “street takeovers" in Connecticut, according to police.
Three people, including a 20-year-old woman, were arrested for street racing among other charges in incidents in Hartford County (in Berlin) and New Haven County (in Waterbury), Connecticut State Police announced on Monday, June 5.
Those arrested were:
Flor Hiram Santiago, aged 43, of Meriden;
Tednnessy William Torrellas Hernandez, aged 37, of Waterbury;

The chairman of a Connecticut city's zoning board has been charged with running down a teen on a scooter and then leaving the area.
New Haven County resident John Egan, age 58, of Waterbury, the Zoning Commission chairman and former head of the Parks and Recreation Department, was arrested on Wednesday, May 31, for the incident that took place in Waterbury on Monday, May 26, said Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police.

A Connecticut man has been arrested and charged with allegedly illegally collecting more than $24,000 in Unemployment Compensation benefits.
New Haven County resident Marcus Johnson, age 41, of Waterbury, was charged on Friday, May 5, with one count each of unemployment compensation fraud and larceny, according to the Office of the Chief State's Attorney.
The arrest is the result of an investigation following a complaint by the Connecticut Department of Labor.
