ID Released For Man Who Disappeared In Waters Off Fairfield Coast Police have identified a man who disappeared in the waters off the Connecticut coast. The incident occurred in Fairfield around 12:10 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 3, near Lighthouse Point and Penfield Reef. According to Sgt. Michael Stahl of the Fairfield Police Department, a 911 call was received about two individuals struggling in the water near Lighthouse Point and Penfield Reef.  Stahl said several nearby bystanders assisted in rescuing one of the men. 1 Rescued From CT River After Kayak Capsizes One person was rescued from a Connecticut river after their kayak capsized as dusk approached. The incident occurred in New Haven County around 7:50 p.m., Tuesday, July 2, in the Quinnipiac River in North Haven. Woman's Quick Actions Save Drowning Child In Fairfield County, Police Say A Fairfield County woman is credited with saving the life of a child after she pulled the girl from a community swimming pool. The incident took place in Trumbull at the Ten Apartments, 100 Oakview Drive on Thursday, June 9. The victim, a 5-year-old Trumbull girl, was found unresponsive in the water at about 6 p.m. and was pulled out of the water, said Lt.
