4-CT Earns Emmy Nomination 4-CT Earns Emmy Nomination
4-CT Earns Emmy Nomination Entertainment news shows always like to ask stars where they were when they learned they were nominated for an Emmy award. Some actors talk about being woken up by early morning calls from agents with the news; others mention popping champagne corks in celebration. It was a little less glamorous when Nutmeggers Preetha Nooyi and Ted Yang heard about their Emmy nod. They got an email. 4-CT Announces New Leadership As It Continues Its Outreach And Expands Its Mission When Don Kendall and Ted Yang founded 4-CT — the Connecticut Covid-19 Charity Connection — in March of 2020 just as an international pandemic was declared, they never expected the organization to continue past a short-term need.  What they and 4-CT have seen in a year's time is that help is still needed even as COVID (hopefully) wanes. While the organization has strived to help those most impacted by the COVID crisis in Connecticut with its innovative 4-CT Card and equity vaccine program, it has also learned that the same population will require long-term aid to right systemic inequities th…

Over $20 million was raised and distributed via the 4-CT’s partners, community foundations and local non-profits. Proving most effective of all, is 4-CT’s Card Program, ("4-CT Card Has Most Impact In Helping CT Residents During The Pandemic") an innovative endeavor that puts debit cards in the hands of those who need …

Daily Voice Founder Shares "A Lifetime of Work" in His New Book Ten years after founding Daily Voice, Carll Tucker is bringing out a new book called Collected Words. We sat down to talk to him about his book, Daily Voice, and what he’s been doing since his retirement in 2019. DV: So what is Collected Words? Tucker: Collected Words is five books I’ve written during the last thirty years. The first, Good Morning, was mined from the daily email missives I’ve been sending to my friends every day for eight years. Our Rift is a book of poems. Paddle’s Last Gift is a memoir of our beloved family dog. Dear David is a letter I wrote to my youngest son on his bar…
