Low Prices, High Buyers: Police Bust Drug Ring Run Out Of New Britain Car Dealership, Feds Say
A federal investigation dismantled a drug trafficking operation allegedly run out of a Connecticut car dealership, leading to the arrest of 13 people on narcotics distribution charges, authorities said.
Investigators seized more than 10 pounds of cocaine, over 200 grams of fentanyl, 30 grams of heroin, seven firearms, $75,000 in cash, and 26 vehicles during searches of the Supreme Automotive dealership in New Britain and locations linked to those arrested, said the United States District Attorney for Connecticut.

The man who shot and killed a beloved Fairfield County jeweler during a robbery has been sentenced to prison.
Robert Rallo, age 59, of New York City, was sentenced on Wednesday, March 1, to 40 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release, for the March 2020 murder and robbery of Mark Vuono, of Marco Jewelers in Stamford, said US Attorney for the District of Connecticut Vanessa Roberts Avery.

CT Man Nabbed For Murder With Help From Witnesses, Surveillance Video, Police Say
Witness interviews and surveillance video have led to the arrest of a Connecticut man for the stabbing death of another man last year.
Oniel Lewis, age 34, of Hartford, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 7, for the Saturday, Oct. 31, killing of Bryan Monroe, age 48, of Manchester, said Hartford Police Lt. Aaron Boisvert.
Monroe was found when patrol officers were dispatched to 194 Maple Ave., on the report of a person stabbed. Upon arrival, Monroe was found with multiple stab wounds, Boisvert said.

Police Searching For Two Men Who Allegedly Robbed Area Market
Police are asking the public for help identifying two men, including the one pictured, who robbed an area market at gunpoint.
The incident took place around 6:50 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20, in Ansonia, at the S&A Mart, at 95 Division St., when the two men entered the market and demanded the employee turn over all the money in the cash register, said Ansonia Police Lt. Patrick Lynch.
Several hundred dollars and store merchandise were taken during the robbery, Lynch said.

Sixth Person Arrested For Savage Beating, Shooting Of Rival In Long-Standing Feud
An 18-year-old man is the sixth person to be arrested for an August shooting and beating that police believe arose from a long-standing feud.
On Tuesday, Sept. 29, Vernon Police arrested Trenton Merrill, 18, 157 Union St., Vernon, on the charges of attempted murder, operating a drug factory, and several other felonies, police said. Merrill is the suspected shooter, police said. He’s being held on a $1.6 million bond.
