Dog Found Tied To Tree In Enfield Park With No Room To Move; Police Seek Owner Police in Enfield are asking the public for help to track down the owner of a pit bull mix that was found tied to a tree with only the ability to move a foot in any direction, authorities said.  The dog was found in Brainerd Park with no identifying information. It's unclear if the dog was abandoned, but police hope to locate it with its owner.  Authorities ask anyone with information to contact Enfield Police Department Animal Control at 860-763-8944

NY Woman Killed By Her Own Dog In Backyard Attack A 70-year-old New York woman was killed by the family's 100-pound pit bull that was later killed by police. The Long Island incident took place in the hamlet of Albertson in North Hempstead on Wednesday, July 27 around 1:20 p.m. in the backyard of a home on Terrace Court. Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder said during a news conference the woman's husband came home and found the dog attacking his wife in the backyard.
