A popular Connecticut eatery known for its LBGQ+ events and drag shows has closed suddenly. Tisane Euro-Asian Café, Hartford's iconic tea house and cocktail bar for over 24 years, closed for good on Monday, May 13, with a note on Instagram making the announcement. Police Investigate Threats Made Against CT School District, Superintendent
Law enforcement agencies have been called in to investigate threats and hostile emails targeting a Connecticut school district after it placed a nurse on administrative leave for making comments about LGBTQ+ students, according to officials. An iconic gay bar in southern Connecticut that has been part of the community for seven years is up for sale. The owners of Trevi Lounge say they are retiring, according to a listing on BizBuySell.com as well as two other business-for-sale sites. There are about 35 other bars, pubs, and taverns for sale in Connecticut as of Thursday, Oct. 8, according to the online lister. The asking price is $210,000.
