Credit Card Fraud: Man Ordering Large Amounts Of Liquor Nabbed In Westport, Police Say
A man repeatedly ordering a large amount of liquor from BevMax in Fairfield County was nabbed for larceny and credit card fraud, The incident took place in Westport on Wednesday, May 31. According to Lt. Eric Woods, with the Westport Police, officers spoke with a delivery person from Instacart who reported he became increasingly suspicious of orders he was receiving for delivery to a person in a car in front of a home under construction on George Street. Target has become the latest retail grocer to pay employees to get COVID-19 vaccinated. Target's corporate office said on Wednesday, Feb. 10 that it would provide hourly employees up to four hours of pay (two hours per each vaccine dose) to get vaccinated. A number of grocers are paying employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Among the food markets providing financial incentives to be vaccinated are Trader Joe’s, Dollar General, and Aldi, while Instacart is offering grocery deliverers a $25 stipend, according to NPR.
