Nationwide Public Health Alert Issued For Ground Beef Products Due To Possible Contamination Ground beef products distributed nationwide may be contaminated with E. coli and should not be consumed, the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced. FSIS has issued a Public Health Alert on Saturday afternoon, April 20.warning consumers about the issue. A recall was not requested because the products are no longer available for purchase. Recall Issued For Boneless Beef Products Due To Possible E. Coli Contamination Nearly 5,000 pounds of a boneless beef product shipped to the East Coast are being recalled due to potential E. coli contamination. Colorado-based JBS USA Food Company is recalling approximately 4,860 pounds of imported boneless beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli O157:H7, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced this week.
