Two people were found shot in separate vehicles, including a 23-year-old Connecticut woman who was found dead, when police responded to a report of a shooting.
The incident occurred in Hartford around 12:50 a.m., Friday, July 5, in the area of 40 Cleveland Ave.
According to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police, officers located two victims, a woman identified as Shamyria Williams of Hartford.
Williams was unresponsive on scene and was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead, Boisvert said.

A man is in custody for allegedly killing an 18-year-old Connecticut man 17 years earlier.
Ramon Smith, age 35, was extradited back to Connecticut from Warren, Maine, on Tuesday, June 4, where he was arrested on a warrant charging him with murder and criminal possession of a firearm in connection with the Sunday, March 25, 2007 death of Joshua McClelland of Hartford.
According to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police, on March 25, 2007, at approximately 6:30 p.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the area of 250 Blue Hills Avenue.

Hartford Man Killed After Being Stabbed During Fight
A Connecticut man was killed from an apparent "puncture" wound during a fight.
The incident occurred in Hartford around 8:30 p.m., Thursday, May 30, in the 99 New Britain Ave area.
According to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police, William Jemison, age 38, of Hartford, was found by officers responding to a report of a fight.
Citizens were attempting live-saving measures on Jemison, who was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Boisvert said.

Hartford Woman's Death In Police Custody Under Investigation
The Connecticut Office of Inspector General is investigating the death of a 49-year-old woman who was in police custody.
Linda Praylow, of Hartford, died in a holding cell on Sunday, April 7, while in the custody of the Hartford Police.
She was arrested on Friday, April 5, for two outstanding warrants and held on a $20,000 bond. Police did not say what the warrants were for.
On Sunday, during the early morning hours, Praylow was discovered unresponsive in her cell, Inspector General Robert Devlin Jr. said.

A Connecticut man and a woman were killed in a single-car crash that left the vehicle upside down in a parking lot.
The collision occurred in Hartford around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 21 in the area of 1200 Park St.
According to Hartford Police Lt. Aaron Boisvert, Kevin McCrorey, age 44, and Emily Echevarria, age 34, both of Hartford, were found inside a red Cadillac XT5 by officers in a Park Street parking lot.
