Third Suspect Busted In Fatal I-391 Shooting In Western Mass Police have arrested a third person they say was involved in the fatal shooting of Guyton Winspeare on a stretch of I-391 in Holyoke two months ago, authorities said.  Miguel Dones, 21, of Springfield, is charged with murder and a slew of drug offenses after police found narcotics and an AR-15-style rifle in his car during a traffic stop, the Hampden District Attorney said.  He was being held on a $25,000 cash bail, but that could change after he is indicted on the murder charge on Monday, May 20, authorities said.  Dones is the third person police have connected to the…

Woman Slain In Springfield Domestic Assault ID'd; More Charges Coming For Alleged Killer A 45-year-old Springfield woman who was severely attacked during a domestic dispute died early Thursday morning, May 16, of her wounds after more than two weeks in the hospital, authorities said.  Quitiza L. Holmes, of the Burton/Holmes family, was found suffering from a severe head wound just before 5 a.m. on April 30 at a home on Federal Street.  Kenneth Robson, 67, of Springfield, was arrested and charged with armed assault to murder, the Hampden District Attorney said. Springfield Police Officer Sentenced To Anger Management Classes Following Clash in Lobby Springfield Police Officer Jefferson Petrie has pleaded guilty to assaulting a civilian back in 2017. Petrie pleaded guilty in March, court records show, when he agreed to take anger management classes and stay 100 yards from the victim, Jerry Bellamy. In exchange for complying with the sentence, Petrie’s charges will be dismissed after one year, MassLive reported. Bellamy, however, is not done with the courts.
